Project Description

A forum within which to make friends, share experiences and communicate with others face to face or via technology.

Clustered Social Networking

This works with club members who wish to be linked with others residing within their locality. This enables them to meet up and interact and socialise with others on a regular basis and is also conducive to the concept of pooling personal budgets for those in receipt of social services funding for socialisation as well as for self- funders.

Social Events

Events are arranged at regular intervals throughout the year with members being invited to come along. There will be a fee to pay for the various social gatherings which members will be advised of. We obviously aim to maintain costs at a competitive rate. For less independent members who require assistance with toileting and or an element of supervision; carers will be facilitated to provide relevant support. We will be guided by the types of activities members are interested to pursue and will encourage an array of activities which will enable members to have life experiences which will alleviate loneliness and enhance quality of life and well-being.

Activities / Events to celebrate Valentine’s day, Easter, Hanukah, Diwali , Christmas and any other cultural holidays or festivals of interest to members. We welcome all suggestions and will then as certain interest from other parties along with a cost for facilitating the activity inclusive of transport. Sharing experiences also allows members to share costs which should prove more cost effective as opposed to pursuing as an individual.

Pooling resources is an ingenious way of funding social activities cost effectively for less able clients who are dependent upon a carer to get out and about in the community.
